    Adam Greenfield

    PRESIDENT

    Adam is a transportation, streets, land use advocate and community organizer. He is Advocacy Director at Safe Streets Austin and has led successful campaigns for protected bike lanes on Congress Avenue and Shoal Creek, the Living Streets program, and eliminating parking minimum requirements in Austin. Away from advocacy, Adam is a passionate bicycle traveler and enjoys woodworking, Stoic philosophy, and - like all good music-lovers - Prince.

  • SASHA SIVOLOB

    TREASURER

    Sasha grew up in Houston and saw the detrimental effects of the Katy Freeway expanding in that time. She sees the similar challenges Austin is facing and is happy to volunteer with an organization that is willing to fight for a better alternative that people deserve. Sasha is head of the Mobilization team and works on planning Rethink35 events and onboarding volunteers.

  • Folasade Fashina

    SECRETARY

    Folasade currently works with Street Forum and Queertopia, two mutual aid groups focused on unhoused communities in Austin. Folasade’s lived experience was her primary motivation to join Rethink35, as she was raised on the East side of Austin and has been directly impacted by the negative effects of highway expansion her entire life. She also wanted to ensure that there was a representation for minoritized people from Austin in leadership of the organization. As a part of the community outreach group, she focuses on organizing outreach in communities that have been in the city for generations and looks forward to continuing to ensure that our voices remain heard. 


  • Gregory Bertrand

    Gregory has worked with Rethink for the past few years. This is his first time volunteering with an official organization. Previously he was a copy editor for various publications and served as a reader for his university’s literary magazine. He looks forward to Rethink’s continuous progress.

  • Joe Green

    Joe Green

    Before joining the Rethink35 board Joe had a long history working and volunteering for progressive candidates in Austin and around the country. Growing up outside of Houston Joe has seen the consequences of adding more and more lanes to highways. He is passionate about shifting Austin's transportation future away from highways. 

  • Amy De Luna

    Amy De Luna

    Amy grew up in Austin and wants the city to be a safe place to get around. She's interested in reducing car dependency and alternatives to highway expansions. Amy is involved with the mobilization team at Rethink35 and assists with event planning.

  • Meah Lin

    Meah has volunteered with Rethink35 since January 2024. As a leader of the Communication committee, Meah uses her experience as a designer and researcher to promote Rethink35’s mission.

  • Elena Morales-Grahl

    Elena volunteered with immigration and racial justice organizations while in college to increase communication and understanding between communities. She is also passionate about science communication, especially informing the public about environmental pollutants and their impacts on our health. As part of the community outreach group with Rethink35, she is excited to continue telling the public about highway expansion and connecting with impacted communities.

  • Miriam Schoenfield

    Miriam works at UT as a philosophy professor, and also directs the Texas Prison Education Initiative which offers free credit bearing college courses to incarcerated youth and adults. She is passionate about both cities and nature, and decided to get involved with Rethink35 after realizing how harmful urban highways are for both. As part of the political advocacy group, Miriam works with elected officials and their staff to support policies that promote safe, sustainable and effective mobility in Central Texas.
